Firebreak at Harbison No Comments Yet

I finally took the GPS with me out to the Firebreak trail at Harbison so I could record the track. I find this trail to be easier than Stewardship even though it’s longer. In the end though, I think I prefer Stewardship since there’s less people on that trail and you can stop by the river if you want. Read more »

Preliminary Schedule for the Germany Trip No Comments Yet

The preliminary sechdule looks like this:

  • Arrive in Bremen then off to Aurich-Oldendorf via some means of ground transportaion
  • After spending a few days in Aurich-Oldendorf, head for Leer and travel to Füssen via Train
  • Spend a few days in Füssen seeing the sights. More specifically, Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau and the Marienbrücke
  • On to Salzburg to visit Berchtesgaden and the Eagle’s Nest, the Salt Mines (maybe), Hohensalzburg, and hopefully the Königssee.
  • Back to Leer and Aurich-Oldendorf for the big parties then off for a quick trip to Norderney and Bremen
  • Then back home

We took this pic the last time we visited Neuschwanstein. If this castle looks a little familiar, that’s because Disney took inspiration for their fairy-tale castles from Neuschwanstein. Hopefully, the weather will be better this time around.

Cade Can Ride a Bike Without Training Wheels No Comments Yet

He pretty much figured out how to do this in a span of a few hours. Once he decides he wants to do something, he can be pretty determined to get to the end result.

Carson is getting much better with her bike as well. She can pedal herself around now without somebody giving her a “jump start” which is quite an improvement. I’m sure it won’t be long before she’s done with training wheels too since her brother has moved past them.
